I'm a Kinesthetic Learner!!

Kinesthetic Learner Characteristics

Kinesthetic learners are those who learn through experiencing/doing things. Look over these traits to see if they sound familiar to you. You may be a kinesthetic learner if you are someone who:

• Is good at sports. (MAYBE)
• Can't sit still for long. (TRUE)
• Is not great at spelling. (Kinda)
• Does not have great handwriting. (YESSSSSS)
• Likes science lab. (Not really)
• Studies with loud music on. (YUPPPPPP)
• Likes adventure books, movies. (Books NO, Movies WOOOO!)
• Likes role playing. (HEHEH YEAAA)
• Takes breaks when studying. (ALL THE TIME)
• Builds models. (LOL WHUT?!)
• Is involved in martial arts, dance. (Wushu)
• Is fidgety during lectures. (I guess its a yes!)

 I'm not really an auditory learner...

• Likes to read to self out loud.(maybe)
• Is not afraid to speak in class.(a little)
• Likes oral reports.(NO)
• Is good at explaining.(not really)
• Remembers names.(kinda yes)
• Notices sound effects in movies.(not really)
• Enjoys music.(who doesn't?)
• Is good at grammar and foreign language.(no)
• Reads slowly.(no)
• Follows spoken directions well.(no)
• Can't keep quiet for long periods.(YES)
• Enjoys acting, being on stage.(maybe)
• Is good in study groups.(I'm not sure)
  

As for the visual learner..

Visual Learner Characteristics

Visual learners are those who learn through seeing things. Look over the characteristics below to see if they sound familiar. A visual learner:

• Is good at spelling but forgets names.(no)
• Needs quiet study time.(maybe)
• Has to think awhile before understanding lecture.(not really)
• Is good at spelling.(no)
• Likes colors & fashion.(yes)
• Dreams in color.(huh?! dream got black and white one ah?)
• Understands/likes charts. (yes)
• Is good with sign language. (international friendship sign? haha not really with this)

Therefore I learn through copying/experiencing!


So.. That is why for the past 1 week, I've been diligently making notes for the different modules, no problem! Very hardworking and GUAI :)

However, after finish writing everything, its time to revise and READ through what I've written. YES, I really don't like to read... So it really bores me that every 5minutes of reading I must do something else. However when I'm copying down notes that time, I'm really hardworking that my attention can be held for at least 15-30minutes.

I used to think I'm a visual learner, because I observe my surroundings very well in detailed, and I remember what I saw very clearly.


So.. what are the 'best' learning styles that are optimal to my advantage?


Kinesthetic Learners Can Benefit from:

• Studying in short blocks.(WHUT?! I think it means topic by topic)
• Taking lab classes. (Dammit its too late!)
• Role playing. (Crazy idea, but it'll probably work for HOM)
• Taking field trips, visiting museums. (Can't work for any modules)
• Studying with others. (I'll probably get distracted.. Actually it depends on whom I'm studying with)
• Using memory games. (SOMEBODY MAKE A BMGT/HOM/FMM/MIEC MEMORY GAME AND PLAY WITH ME!)

I really dislike reading off words and digesting them. I need to see and experience beautiful things.Like to see a colourful decorated graph! That will definitely help. However you show me one dam nice design mindmap full of words, the effect still remains but it'll be halved.

So I guess I'm actually under Visual-Tactile(another word for Kinesthetic) Learner. Its a good thing I've found this out 6 days before the exam. Muahhahahaha
