Update.

Here's the content for today's post:

1. What I've been doing on the weekend (Yesterday and what I'll do today hopefully)

2. Getting a degree for free.

3. Plans for after examinations.

4. Parents on vacation.

1. The Weekend
I've been trying to study the ever-so-many-things-to-memorize subject, Tourism Law lately for the upcoming examinations. Its too.. many things that when I recently finished my notes yesterday, I hardly remember what I wrote in the notes. Its like... *BLANK* in my head and only 3 days left :(

So I moved on to FABM. How did I study FABM? I only started FABM yesterday. Lately, I've been playing The Walking Dead on iPhone, however the 1st out of 5 episodes are free, so I decided to Youtube the other episodes. Its a story-interactive game, so its more of a story thats why I can Youtube and watch other people play it, afterall I finished the first episode and I can't just leave it hanging. One episode is about 100 minutes long and the Youtubers usually split it into 5 parts, 20 minutes each. The way I studied for FABM is that after every PART of the episode (20minutes) I would study one lecture. AND BECAUSE OF THIS INCENTIVE of getting to watch another part of the episode when I complete the lecture, I quickly skimmed through things that are vague and unlikely to be tested. This method of selective studying is kinda of a 'cheat'. Maybe it kinda cheats myself sometimes from the useful information that I can use in the exam. I'm at Episode 4: Part 4 now and I intend to complete the entire story, through the 5th Episode today (Its just 1 episode away). Then I really ought to try and get TLAW and FABM into my head TODAY because its quite late already.

2. Getting a Degree for FREE.
Now this isn't about me, this is about EVERYONE. Of course, the free means 'free'. I've read this article:http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/2012/oct/05/students-can-go-to-lectures-for-free
online and I feel that it makes a lot of sense.

After Poly, things would get more serious for me with NS and Uni (hopefully). The article talks about entering university would mean you have to pay a sum of money per year. The sum of money actually gives you the ACCESS to the entire universities' lectures and facilities. So why not maximize the access and attend other lectures to broaden your knowledge and even get a 2nd degree at the same time? Well, of course its not easy to thats why most optimal-oriented people would just go for lectures to broaden knowledge.

To get a literally degree for free, the article says that universities actually give the public free talks in Libraries and other public places etc and attending all these talks can somewhat combined into a university course. However this may not totally apply in Singapore, but I think there's still useful talks in SG that will help in a degree.

The above really speaks about optimizing resources. But why not now? We can do it now yeah? I don't have to wait for life to get serious (after poly) to do it. But some reasons I won't do it because... NS COMES FIRST BEFORE UNI!!! With NS first, I'll probably forget EVERYTHING I know when I get to uni. Girls have no excuse though xD. But by applying this theory into my post-exam holidays, I really do want to make full use of the holidays by either enriching myself or my pockets. I'll talk about this in the next section.

3. Post-Examination Plans
I've thought about this. There'll be 3 parts - Body, Mind and Pockets.

Body: This refers to physique. Afterall, Sherhong's going be on maintenance in this period. Its tough for her to achieve much in her physique with her internship around. I guess I don't want to give pressure to her so this would be my journey alone. During our cutting phase, there's another method - X - which she didn't want to try out because she knew she wouldn't like it one bit. However, there are many reviews of this Method X that helped many become ripped. Famous Youtubers like Scooby and Frank Yang have given their thoughts on this Method X. Scooby said that different people gain optimal results from different methods, so we must experiment with ourselves. More importantly, he said we MUST BELIEVE in the method so that it can work. Frank Yang uses Method X to get ripped, he has a higher % of body fat before and he's getting real lean already, so I guess I'll try Method X during the holidays.

Mind: This refers to skills/knowledge. I've always been wanting to continue practicing card magic/flourishes during the poly holidays but I've never really started. I'm kinda outdated in the magic industry - I used to be super updated in Sec 4, where I knew everything in the magic industry by following famous people and even skilled locals. Some magicians were friendly they even give lectures online that I sometimes watch. But more or less, I've gained a lot of skills in magic, more than just the entertainment ability, but the ability to see things that others cannot see as well. I MIGHT consider practicing again in the holiday. Its a 10% chance I would.

Speaking of skills, sports is also a skill. I might train in my basketball skills instead. Afterall, we always play ball on Saturday nights. But ever since Caius was enlisted last Wednesday, we might have lesser games. He's the guy with the ball and I guess you can call him the main host.

Maybe I could use this holiday time to enrich my brain's knowledge by Googling online articles about fitness, bodybuilding, diet, biology? Or something new and fresh, such as psychology, central nervous systems? I could too always prepare for NS by searching for how to survive in a jungle or something like that.

Well I'll leave these thoughts to after exams, its too early to be planning and partying now.

Pockets: Ka-Ching $$$. Of course I would love to find a job near my home, that goes along well with the above Body and Mind. But I think it wouldn't be easy to cater for, especially trips to the gym and diet. This is optional for me but if there's a good opportunity, I wouldn't want to pass it. Afterall, a wife is hard to afford right? Must start saving now! HAHAHA

4. Parents on Holiday.
For the next 2 days, today and tomorrow, me and my sister will be living at home. My parents always go Malaysia or something especially the week during my exams when I need them to do the meals so I won't waste time. They're off to Malacca this time. I hope my sister wouldn't be so lazy and dirty. If she does anything untolerable of any sort I'll update it here.

P.S: Never give up on your dreams and goals!  I won't, you guys shouldn't too! Press on, and achieve the best
