Jam in the punch line!

Hey there, I've been inactive for short period of time here, there are many stuff that I wanted to share here but I've been procrastinating and playing meaningless games - Maplestory - during my free time and always play until so addicted forgot to post.

I've learnt a few lessons, they're all jumbled up but I'll just go through one by one anyway.

Everything happens for a reason! Well, last Saturday during my basketball match, I injured my right thumb accidentally. Since I'm right handed, I shoot with my right hand so I thought the injury would have stopped me from playing. However, I rested awhile and tried to continue playing, shooting hoops with my right hand using the 4 fingers only without applying pressure on the thumb. SURPRISINGLY MY SHOTS WERE FAR MORE ACCURATE THAN BEFORE! Then I realized that my secondary school friend who is also my bball shifu taught me that the thumb is only meant to guide the direction of the ball and is not meant to be the one using power to shoot. Because I wanted the power and speed for the ball to go fast and into the hoop, I forgot his words and used the thumb for extra boost. To sum up, in life, every setback has a learning to it, its just that whether you realize it or bother to understand it or not.

Next up, its about MUHAMMAD!! YEAAAAAAAAH, he's a friend I met at a gym 3 years back ago. He is about 6-8 years older (I forgot his age) and he was the first one to properly introduce me to PROPER weight training/bodybuilding and also gave me and my friend a lesson on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Nowadays I see him regularly on every Sunday gym at TPY. I always ask him for advice and tips and we talked about NS too with Caius. He's also on intermittent fasting but with some alterations made, like during the 16h fasting phase, he would only allow himself to eat stuff like lettuce, fruits (not banana, durian or any other energy giving food). He also taught me a lot about carbs. He said that not all carbs are created equal and that there are some carbs you eat a lot already wont get fat while there are some carbs, such as bread (wholemeal and white bread included) eat already still will get fat one. He said that all types of breads are best to avoid. So.. how to differentiate those carbs? Hi-fibre carbs are good and low-fibre carbs are not as good, its that simple. He also shared with me that his body fat fluctuates between 7-12%. His workout is between 4-6 hours long and he burns dam a lot of calories, so one day he use the fat % measuring calipers to measure before and after workout, before is 12%, after is 7% but after he eat his post-workout meal, everything will come back to 12% in just a matter of seconds. Hahhaaha. He told me that the magazine body is about 5-7% body fat and to achieve that, you can't eat your mother's cooking, you cant eat anything off the shelves, you must cook and prepare everything yourself. But I guess magazine's body is too extreme, so I'll be happy to maintain at 10-12% eating my mum's cooking and occasionally stuff that are off the shelves. 5-7% is definitely not worth it, its temporary and takes a lot more to maintain than 10% bf.

Last topic, its about WORKKKKK! Yesterday my boss suddenly so serious face approach me and said "Wei Jie, I need your permission on something..... A girl wants your number" (LOLWHUT). So I'm like... "who". Of course he don't dare reveal it, so I ask who until he walk away (hehehehe). When I was leaving work, one person called me into the registration room then the China girl ask me for number. I was like.. "I thought I give you my WeChat already?". My boss was there as well then he pressure me "Wei Jie must be da fang ma, the girl already ask just give la". So I reluctantly give it and faster zao home.

Anyway today, I receive a few compliments from my colleagues when worked ended and I took off my outer shirt to reveal my singlet! Heheh the guys are jelly of me~ I don't mind mentoring those who want to learn and get fit too! Then one full timer come to me and said "Got pretty girl ask your number I jealous leh". Wah I so paiseh and awkward, I don't know if that's a suan or compliment sia. I think a colleague has been very suspicious that me and Jesmine (the popular BA girl) have a thing going on. Coz last time he said things like "Jesmine wear so nice, going out with Wei Jie ah?" and today he said to me "Today going gym with Jesmine ah?" I mean me and her are the closest within our colleagues thats all haha.

School is starting next week, I don't know to feel happy or sad. But one things for sure, ENJOY HOLIDAY NOWWWW!
