HAPPY PI-EST DAY (22/7)

PIEST DAY = Pi Estimate day. 22/7 where back in primary school we used to take that number for Pi instead of the calculator's long naggy string of numbers.

Recently I've been very very lazy. Its always like that when the semester is about to end. I'll always suddenly go into the gaming mode where I'll game for hours everyday especially 3 weeks before the final semester tests WHICH ARE SOOOOOOOOO IMPORTANT!

Lately, this struck my mind: Triangles are the strongest shape. No doubt about that from what I've learnt in D&T back in Secondary school days. It just abruptly came back into my head. BUT WAIT! I've been linking this in terms of relationships. Triangles are the strongest shape, triangles have 3 points of contact. Does it mean that relationships are strongest within 3 people? (I'm talking about friendship of course)

Also, I've just finished watching the last episode of "Man in charge". It was a great drama with the main actor having 2 lovers. Of course in the end, there were only 2 people together. His wife sacrificed herself to save the husband and he married the other lover at the end. Does it go to show that relationships(friendships) in threes are strong? Btw the wife and the other lovers are good friends knowingly they both have a mutual feelings with the main actor.

Linking this triangle to my current polytechnic stuff. In class, my clique consist of YQ and Shaun. Within 3 people, we managed to forged a strong bond between with many common topics. The other people in class is just a group to me. A group and a clique is different. Clique is definitely something wayyyyyy tighter. Well, that's how I feel.

Linking it to CCA, triangulation.. e2i Club's President, Vice-President and Director are all from Maris Stella. We all keep in regular contact with each other with a bond too. Although we're not a clique that goes place to place around Singapore to hang out, we still have a mission to complete together: Leaving a legacy through e2i Club. This makes us committed to the CCA.

Now enough with triangles, what about friendships of 5? What about a clique of 10? Now here's the thing: Triangles are very solid because they support with great synergy and balance. However, a polygon of 5 sides(5 people) may not stabilize that easily BUT it is very possible to have a strong bond between polygons. It is just more 'complicated' and difficult to achieve. Possible is nothing though.

What about Decagons (10 sides)? It is a very unstable shape, hard to balance. You'll never see a bridge made out of decagons because it is very insecure. Same goes for relationships with 10 people, it is even more 'complicated' and difficult than polygons. Possible? Yes, but its just extremely hard for it to maintain.

Someone out there enlightened me. I'm not too sure if it was Sherhong. But I can say AT LEAST partly she helped open my eyes. I've been blindly training squats in gym. 2 or 3 weeks ago, she asked 'Why would you want to train legs'. It was buried in my head until I dug it back up a week ago.Squats are the 'king of exercise' because it trains the entire body. My legs are as strong as a horse, being able to place 100kg on my shoulders and performing squats. I question myself again, why am I squatting? I'm not doing it for any athlete reasons, neither do I really want to have giant muscular legs. Its has always been part of the routine that I ignored the objectives of the gym and its time I revamp my workout! (actually its just the removal of squatting exercises)

The module Understanding Relationship is just awesome! There's no need for safeassign, I've just copied and paste an assignment of 1000 words directly. Needless to say, I've changed all "Australia" to Singapore and tried to relate everything to my assignment context. Exams will start in 3 weeks. I really can't wait for the study break to prepare myself seriously. I'm really lacking the study mood. I feel glued to a box full of temporary happiness.

Tomorrow will be a short day. 9am-11am PMKT tutorial. After that it'll be the analysis of survey results and touching up on the presentation. I hope I'll have time after that to perhaps, reflect upon life and its goodness. Or just take a simple nap and dream beyond my imagination.

I heard The Dark Knight Rises was an awesome 3h movie. Can't wait to watch it soon~
