It's Not My Week but..

IT'LL BE MY YEAR!

This past week had kinda sucked. Firstly its due to my failure at Bcomm table topics. I wasn't ready, I had everything in my mind but they're all jumbled up. The 3minutes preparation time went too quickly and it was my turn. I went up, looked too much onto my phone which has the pointers and didn't keep eye contact with the audience. I also made a grave mistake of not linking major points. The teacher even had to ask me whats the link at the end of my table topics. She was disappointed in me and I'm even more disappointed at myself.

Today, Caius and I went to Funan Digital Mall to catch Poh Ann in action after gym. PA was having a StarCraft 2 tournament which the first prize would get a trip to China plus $4000 in USD. But in the end, he clinch 5th/6th place and walked away with $300 USD instead. What a pity... Its not usual for him to get below 4th place for every competition he went before he always keeps getting 4th.

During the competition, there was a sweepstake going on beside. To enter, all you have to do is to complete a quest in Diablo 3 using test accounts. You must enter as a pair. Caius and I took on the challenge and we got our hopes up to win either a pair of movie tickets or a pair of Diablo 3 Steel Series Headgear. It was an hourly draw to see who would win. They had a lot of headgear and movie tickets to give away. At 7pm, we were really hoping that we would win the headgear BUT the winners were two female staff at the SC2 tournament promoting the sales of the gaming computers. WHAT A PITY! The hourly draw will end at 9pm but we gave up and went home instead. The opportunity cost is higher than the risk of not winning.


One more week left to the official start of studying. There's still so much to do for this week as Walk With Me is on the 4th of August, next Saturday. I really hope to sell some tickets but it'll not be easy. Most of my friends stay very very far from Bukit Batok Community Centre and I have intelligent friends. Friends who know that carnival coupons will also be sold on the spot and therefore will not buy it now but instead buy it on that day itself. I would have done the same but its worrying to not have confirmed sales.

I fear that our event will be pretty messed up and that it'll demoralize our study weeks.
