2 Boring.

The 2 refers to Day 2 of work.

Its just like the SECOND DAY, the number of people coming in drop drastically, I only had 2 customers today, the room was more or less empty (if we exclude the staff) and we pretty much talked around and watched the movie that plays on the projector. Well, I hardly socialized around actually, I was just there sitting down plugged in watching Youtube videos.

I mean the people there are cool and stuff, but not my type of cool. I guess you can say they're sometimes a little childish. I hit it off better with the two girls, the first one is Year 3 graduating this May who is a Chinese-Korean (WOW, I just found out today). She's also from Strings, and we met another strings member during lunch today so we're pretty cool with each other.  The second one is Year 1 going to be Year 2 this April, she's the popular BA girl I mentioned in the previous post. As usual, popular BA girls like to be in the spotlight (I'm stereotyping yeah, go ahead and sue me then). Usually the guys in the IT helpdesk will flock around her and stuff, while I try my best not to give too much attention coz I'm not that interested in this social circle.

However, just before debrief time when work ends, I SAW HER KEYING IN CALORIES ON A APP ON HER iPHONE!!!!! DUMDUMDUMDUM~ Her level suddenly increased to Level: 9001 (ITS OVER NINE THOUSANDDDDDDDDD) for a split second. Yeah just a split second. I literally opened my mouth and said "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!??!?!?!" and then I also open up my notes to show that I also calculate calories. She was pretty amazed too.

Oh anyway the summary is that her level went almost all the way back down, coz I found out that she's just a super beginner at these kind of things, count for the sake of counting to make sure she wont grow fat, making sure herself stay slim and that she really simply using it, really simple stuff and all.

Well, I actually took a second glance at this application, MyfFitnessPal I found out that it has both its pros and cons:

PROS:
- Its the most popular app for calorie counting which means HUGE database for food calories which equals to better estimates
- They calculate your calorie intake for you, everything customized while all you need to do is key in your weight, height and goals.
- EXCELLENT for beginners or layman (like her)
- Got Graphs, Summaries, can add friends and post statuses

Cons:
- You cannot adjust it to suit your programs such as calorie cycling (high days and low days)
- Once customized the calorie per day, for example 1500, everyday it'll start off as 1500 which is inflexible (Very similar to the above point)
- Troublesome to use because you have to be specific (which is good) but bad in the sense that you'll have to spend some time on it, measuring the cups of water (or estimating), spend time searching on the food type and its calories (which is good because it gives better estimate)
- Only states breakfast lunch and dinner, never state the time

My conclusion is, YES its a great app to use and I've decided to use it. But I've decided to make things better, by using this not as a replacement to my OneNote app which stores all the info, but instead as an add-on! So I'll be having double entries, one for OneNote and one for MyFitnessPal. Its going to be troublesome but I'll go the extra mile to become more advanced. In the days to come, I will truly know by comparing my estimations agaisnt MyFitnessPal's calories and know where I stand in my estimation skills.

Come to think of it, a fit nutritionist is really my passion. Whats my definition of passion? It comes from this story: One day I saw a Facebook post asking for the difference between a hobby and a passion. There were many debates, many comments going up but there was only one comment that most people agreed upon, and it went something along the line like this "Hobby is something you enjoy doing in your free time, while passion is something which you find all opportunities to include it inside whenever you can at all times" It was truly a memorable comment.

Oh anyway on my way home, I met a Marist Friend! COINCIDENTALLY HE WORKS IN NP TOO! And even more coincidentally, he works one level up my level, I work at BLK 56 level 2 for IT helpdesk while he helps to take orders for laptops at level 3. He's working lesser hours and being paid more than me!!! At first glance you'll think "Wah so wasted" right? But at a second look, he said he's very bored and sian already, also very sleepy. I'm currently SUPER DUPER tired and sleepy. But there's one thing that makes my job better, and that is firstly the colleagues (so far so good, they're interactive, I'm not too sociable with them but I enjoy the noise), next is the fulfillment to help the freshies, also the joy I find in interacting with year 1s, talking to them and giving them advice. Although today sucks because hardly any customers, I believe in better days to come!
